Order German Death Certificate

A German death certificate (Sterbeurkunde) is a document issued by a registrar of the local civil Registration Office (Standesamt) that declares the name, date and location of a person’s death as later entered in an official register of deaths. Germany has no central repository for civil records. German death certificates can be obtained from the local civil registration office (Standesamt) at the place where the person died.
